The Arcata Interfaith Gospel Choir has two important performances in April — the morning gospel on Sunday April 8 at the Redwood Coast Music Festival and the Vigil for Josiah on April 15.

Redwood Coast Music Festival (RCMF)

The Redwood Coast Music Festival is a four-day event, April 5-8, with seven performance venues in Eureka!  Over 30 bands will play more than 100 sets of music.

A wide array of musical genres will be performed, including Hot Jazz, Swing, Blues, Zydeco, Rockabilly, Country and Gospel.  Each performance venue has a dance floor. See the RCMFest.org website for more information.

The AIGC and the AIGC Youth Choir will perform a FREE concert at 10:30am at the Adorni Center (1011 Waterfront Dr, Eureka).  The concert is sponsored by the RCMF.

Please share the AIGC Facebook Event for the RCMF performance.

Vigil for Josiah

The Vigil for Josiah is a remembrance service for Josiah Lawson who was stabbed to death on April 15, 2017.  The homicide case is still unsolved.

The AIGC will be performing at 5pm at the D Street Neighborhood Center (1301 D St, Arcata). A gathering will be held on the Arcata Plaza (between 8th & 9th and G & H St) before the Vigil for Josiah.

Food will be served and Charmaine Lawson, Josiah’s mother, will speak at the Vigil for Josiah.
